Position Title: Student Trainee – NASA Pathways Intern Employment Program

Location: NASA Glenn Research Center – Cleveland, Ohio

Salary Range: $30,543.00 - $62,643.00

Open/Close Date: 4/11/2017 through 5/02/2017

Required Majors: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics (Structural) or Civil Engineering

Job DescriptionThe individual will be assigned tasks to perform stress analysis and fracture mechanics for metallic and composite structures in supporting NASA's spaceflight missions, such as: MPCV Crew Service Module (CSM), and Space Launch Systems (SLS). The position requires individual having strong analytical background and skills, and has taken college courses on Strength of Materials, Static, and Dynamic.

Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship is required, must be enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) in an accredited educational institution, must have completed at minimum 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours,  be enrolled at least half-time as defined by your educational institution, must maintain at least a 2.9 GPA. Please note, that this appointment is expected to start no earlier than August 2017, and last at least 1 year. Applicants must have 1 year remaining in their studies before they complete their degree requirements. Applicants who indicate a graduation date prior to August 2018 will be found ineligible.
