    Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist:  

    In this position, you will plan, coordinate, and evaluate the logistical actions required to support a specified mission or program. This position starts at a salary of $95,409.

    Typical assignments include:

      Managing supplies, maintenance, transportation, warehouse/storage, property accountability, manufactured housing, and the disaster fleet.

      Coordinating logistics procedures between headquarters and regional staff at all levels to ensure cooperation and concurrence.

      Providing technical advice and assistance to logistics specialists, Information Technology (IT) staff and counterparts at other FEMA facilities to establish disaster information systems and telecommunications.

      Using an understanding of contracting principles and methods to participate in the preparation of project management contracting functions.

      Exercising technical and administrative supervisory controls that are in keeping with a first level supervisory position.

    Contract Specialist:  

    In this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of contract administration, from pre-award to post-award stages. These tasks include soliciting, negotiating, awarding, modifying, terminating, and closing out grant contracts and closing out procurement contracts. This position starts at a salary of $82,304.

    Typical assignments include:

      Determining best contracting methods and contract types.

      Ability to resolve contracting issues and/or recommend best course of action.

      Ability to interpret and apply procurement regulations, procedures, and policies.

      Soliciting, evaluating, negotiating, awarding, administering, analyzing, and advising on a large workload of contracts for supplies and services.

      Monitoring/reviewing contractor's performance, and performing a full range of contract administration activities.
