MEMBERSHIP TYPES

ELIGIBILITY

FAPAC membership consists of chapters and members-at-large who have subscribed to the standards and ethics of FAPAC, pay FAPAC dues and, in the case of chapters having been granted a charter, continue to function in compliance with the conditions set forth in National FAPAC Bylaws, and the policies established by the Executive Board. Membership in FAPAC is open to any person regardless of race, color, religion, sex, and ethnic origin. 

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

Regular membership is granted to active federal employees including military personnel and DC government employees. 
The membership fee is $36.00/year or a one-time $300 lifetime payment.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate membership is granted to non-federal government employees including retirees, contractors, students, corporate workers, etc. Associate members have all rights and enjoy all benefits as the regular members except that they cannot run for office. 
The membership fee is $24.00/year or a one-time $150 lifetime payment.

About Chapters

Established in 1985, FAPAC is the oldest, largest and most active organization of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the government. Constitution Article IV, Sections 6-7: Local sections of FAPAC, designated as Chapters and composed of individual members may, when approved by the National Board of Directors, be formed. Each Chapter shall have power to draft its own constitution and bylaws, provided that such constitution and bylaws shall be in harmony with the FAPAC Constitution and Bylaws and are in furtherance of the objectives of FAPAC. Geographically, Chapters are divided into 5 regions:

Region 1 - Northeast; Region 2 - Midwest; Region 3 - South; Region 4 - West; and Region 5 - Capital Region (Great Washington Area)

    FAPAC is the primary national nonprofit organization dedicated to the interests of the Asian/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander issues in Federal Government. FAPAC is made up of members who share your interests, your concerns, and your problems.
  2. FAPAC IS AN EMPLOYEE RESOURCE SUPPORT GROUP:
    FAPAC can be an excellent resource for help and counsel on issues affecting your career opportunity and training development. FAPAC members have access to a job bank, network directories, and training library of videos and tapes.
  3. FAPAC IS A NATIONAL ORGANIZATION:
    FAPAC sponsors a National Leadership Training Program which brings together national leaders and experts to address issues related to AANHPIs. The annual Congressional Seminar provides a unique training opportunity for you to get involved and develop contacts with Members of Congress, providing you an exposure to congressional issues in our government.
  4. FAPAC IS A COMMUNITY RESOURCE:
    FAPAC serves as a driving force in the Asian,Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community helping to support community outreach and help building effective solutions to community problems such as hate crimes, disability accessibility, student programs, health issues, immigration policies, and voter registration. The skills you develop on the job can be invaluable in promoting community activities through your FAPAC membership.

    By becoming a member of FAPAC, you are becoming a part of an organization that includes federal workers from all levels of government and all areas of the public workforce. By keeping yourself in the FAPAC network, you get to meet experts from around the country, employers from other agencies, and pick up information and resources that can help you professionally and in your personal growth.
