Additionally, Aurea was honored to meet several Senior Executives that influenced her efforts to continue contributing her personal time, ability, and talents not only to FAPAC, but also in her workplace and in the community that she is currently serving.
Aurea do remember a Senior Executive once said, “If you don’t have an accent, you’re not an American”. She told him, “Sir, I have not only an accent; I am also a U.S. Veteran”. He smiled and shook Aurea’s hands until they both got tired shaking hands together. A few years later, she asked the same Senior Executive, “Sir, I need an awesome mentor, and I am asking you to join us in FAPAC.” The Senior Executive is Caucasian, and a Veteran like her. He didn’t hesitate. He said, “Anything to give back to the community”, and then he shared her his wisdom, “Always work hard like an ant.”
His mindset to lead, work hard, and give back to the community was very inspiring. Watching him to always look for ways to innovate processes is very contagious and motivating, and that is what Aurea wants to emulate and lead others to the road of unity and success.
