FAPAC presents:

Fostering Inclusion and Equity: Managing Implicit Associations in the Workplace

October 2, 2020 at 3:00-4:30 pm EDT

*Registration is required. Zoom meeting information will be sent via email 24 hours prior to the event. Contact pr@fapac.org with questions.

Description: Whether we work in the same office space or virtually, inclusive practices are important to thriving teams. Even in a fully remote setting, individuals need to be aware of the potential impact of implicit biases and micro-messages. This webinar will explore the potential impact of micro-messages (positive and negative ones) and provide tips for ensuring everyone on the team feels equally valued and respected. We will spotlight the experience of people with disabilities and discuss how to be inclusion allies for employees with disabilities.

Speakers:

  • Maria Morukian is President of MSM Global Consulting, a women-owned small business with 16 years of experience training, consulting, and coaching organizations and their leaders in issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Michael Murray is the chief relationship officer for GT Independence. In his role, Michael manages business development, government relations, marketing, innovation and corporate social responsibility for the self-directed services company. Previously, Michael was the director of the employer policy team at the Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. Michael’s lifelong drive for inclusion is fueled by his experience as a person with a learning disability and ADHD.
