Leadership Shadowing Program Application Deadline February 26, 2021

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) is now accepting applications for the 2021 Leadership Shadowing Program (LSP).  The LSP is a six-month program that runs from March to September. The LSP is intended for eligible FAPAC Members to gain a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the FAPAC organization and prepare participants to run for a FAPAC Officer position or to serve as a Committee Chair.

Submit completed applications to  by 5:00 p.m. ET on February 26, 2021.

Who May Apply? 
  • Current federal employees with permanent career status.

  • Mentee candidates must be GS-13 or lower.

  • Mentor candidates must be GS-14 or above with 8+ years of supervisory experience in Federal sector.

Requirements for Successful Completion:
LSP participants should commit a minimum of 50 hours over the course of the six-month program that includes:
  • Minimum 15 hours: One-on-One Mentoring/Shadowing with the FAPAC Elected Official
  • Minimum 15 hours: Workshop Activities with FAPAC Senior Leaders and Past FAPAC Leaders
  • Minimum 20 hours: Leadership Projects during the FAPAC NLTP in the areas of public speaking, preparing and writing reports, volunteering and practicing leadership skills through the FAPAC business and operational activities.
