The Bowser Administration seeks an energetic and qualified candidate to serve as the Community Outreach and Relations Specialist (MOAA) in the Executive Office of the Mayor. The Mayor’s Office of African Affairs (MOAA) is the essential connection between African Immigrant residents and the Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM). MOAA plays a vital role in helping to improve the quality of life for African Immigrant residents of the District of Columbia by collaborating with neighborhood organizations and other city agencies to address community issues. The Community Outreach and Relations Specialist must be Amharic-speaking and have demonstrated knowledge and/or connections to African community issues, including language access, immigration, public safety, youth issues, and integration issues.


FAPAC is a 501 (c)(3) nonpartisan, nonprofit organization representing the civilian and military Asian Pacific American (APA) employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments.
