FORMER PRESIDENT MIRZA MAROOF PASSES AWAY

WASHINGTON - Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC), the premier organization representing Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders of all ranks in the federal and District of Columbia governments, mourns the passing of former president Mirza (Mike) Maroof.  Mike worked at NASA before his retirement and served two terms as FAPAC's 13th President in 1999-2001. He is survived by his wife Naseema, who was also a former FAPAC Officer in 2001-2002, and by his daughter. He attended the FAPAC NLTP in Honolulu and was present at our 25th anniversary celebration at National Harbor. FAPAC is grateful for his years of service and sends his condolences to his family.
