FAPAC 27th National Leadership Training Conference Team Visits Atlanta

WASHINGTON DC - FAPAC’s 27th Annual National Leadership Training Conference will be held on April 30-May 4, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia.  FAPAC holds this conference to coincide with the Federal government’s observance of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The theme for 2012 is “Striving for Excellence in Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion”.  Dr. Kin Wong, President and Grace Spence, Conference Chair will visit Atlanta on March 22-24 to meet the community and volunteers. All interested community leaders are welcome to attend the public meeting on March 24 at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta at Buckhead. Light refreshment will be provided.

The conference has been endorsed for many years by the Office of Personnel Management as appropriate for federal support and attendance.  The workshops and plenary sessions provide an excellent opportunity for critical leadership training and to understand regulations on EEO and learn the tools for moving up the career ladders. On May 2 Career Day students and veterans can attend special student program and the Veterans Forum free –pre-registration required (register today to avoid cutoff due to limited capacity). All registered attendees can visit the agency exhibits and career booths free.

FAPAC is organized exclusively for educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. FAPAC is a non-profit, non-partisan organization representing the interests of over 155,000 civilian and military APA employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments of all ranks, including GS and SES employees. FAPAC carried out its mission through the Annual National Leadership Training Conference, held during the month of May each year, one day workshops on special topics and through other training conducted by its chapters. FAPAC also provide recognition of outstanding performers through its Military and Civilian Award Programs.
