Message from the President

October 07, 2024 19:09 | Kelly Kim (Administrator)

Dear Friends,

I want to personally thank everyone for their continued commitment in advancing the mission of our organization and for your participation in our recent elections. Over the years, we have witnessed FAPAC evolve as a leader in providing vital professional development opportunities not only to its members, but across the federal government. From its seminal Career Development Mentoring Program to its National Leadership Training Program, our organization remains the gold standard for training that is a model for other organizations to follow.

It has been an honor to have served as your President during the FY 2022-2024 term, and I am proud of what we have accomplished together. We have made significant strides toward our strategic goals and I am eager to continue this momentum with your support. As we celebrate the successes, there’s an ever-present need for our organization to become more agile and empower organizational change. Our plan calls for the strengthening of FAPAC's capacity to leverage opportunities in four critical areas:

  • Equitable Participation
  • Career Development
  • Advocacy for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
  • Member Recognition and Engagement

The newly elected National Board of Directors and I will shepherd our organization during the next two years and continue to promote equal opportunity and cultural diversity for the Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) within the Federal and District of Columbia governments. We know that it takes a village to successfully accomplish our goals and we rely on your continued support. Through our collaboration and dedication, FAPAC can continue to prepare the leaders of today and the next generation of public servants.

I’m very excited to be at the helm of this valuable organization with some of the most talented and hard-working individuals. The board and I welcome your ideas about how we can take FAPAC to the next level. We value your feedback as members and partners and we are committed to serving our community well. I look forward to serving you for another term and am confident that FAPAC will meet its mission with excellence.

Sincerely,

Fahmida Chhipa, FAPAC President 2024-2026
