Q. What is the theme?
Unite Our Vision by Working Together - The 2018 theme builds on last year's diversity theme and focuses on unity and inclusion. Inclusion is the deliberate act of welcoming diversity and creating an environment where all kinds of people can thrive and succeed. Everyone has a voice and needs to be included. If diversity is what you have, inclusion is what you do. Through the 2018 theme, FAPAC will engage AAPIs in action and take proactive steps toward working together because of our differences.
Q. How do I register?
Registration is open to anyone. You do NOT need to be a member to register.

Students and Veterans can attend the Student and Veteran Workshops for free with registration. Students and Veterans can also visit the agency exhibits and meet recruiters and agency representatives from various federal agencies including NASA, USDA, EPA, FAA and the military services (Army, Navy, US Coast Guard, etc).
Q. What is the registration cost?
The regular cost for regular attendees is $895. The cost for exhibitors is $1250. The cost includes two lunches and two dinners. Students and Veterans can attend the Student and Veterans program for free on Wednesday, May 16. Meals and training workshops are not included for Students and Veterans.
Q. When does Registration end?
We will accept registrations and payment at the door until the Training Program has started. If you are waiting for approval, please let us know when you expect to pay. If you have any questions or issues, please email registration@fapac.org.
Q. How do I ask my supervisor for approval to attend?
Requesting approval to attend a training doesn't have to be a difficult task. Download our Approval Toolkit to get the conversation going (includes pre-filled SF-182, NLTP flyer, and sample justification letter)!
Q. What events are included in the registration? What are the meal options?
When you register for the full program you can attend all of the workshops and events in the agenda including:  
  • Monday Welcome Reception 
    • Entree: Crusted Salmon with Orange Reductions, OR
    • Vegetarian: Portobello and Vegetable Short Stack, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted and Grilled Zucchini, Squash, Eggplant, Red Onion, Peppers, Wilted Spinach, Pesto Oil
    • Dessert: Chocolate Decadence Cake with Berry Coulis
  • Tuesday Agency Appreciation Luncheon 
    • Entree: Mediterranean Chicken with Feta Cheese, Garlic, Lemon, White Wine, Onion, Rosemary & Oregano, OR
    • Vegetarian Entree: Roasted Polenta Cake topped with Vegetable Medley on a bed of Roasted Pepper Coulis
    • Dessert:  Cheese Cake with Fresh Fruit Compote
  • Wednesday Military Award Luncheon 
    • Entree: Sliced Sirloin – Mushroom port wine Reduction Served with Duchess Potatoes and Haricot Vert OR
    • Vegetarian: Roasted Vegetables Purse on bed of Ragout Tomatoes
    • Dessert: Key Lime Tart with Berry Sauce, Crème Fraiche
  • Thursday Civilian Award Dinner Banquet
    • Entree: Blackened Red Snapper with Tropical Relish served with Rice Pilaf & Brocolli Crowns, OR

    • Vegetarian: Portobello and Vegetable Short Stack, Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted and Grilled Zucchini, Squash, Eggplant, Red Onion, Peppers, Wilted Spinach, Pesto Oil

    • Dessert:  Shortcake with Seasonal Fruit Berries & Whipped Sweet Cream

Q. What is the Executive Coaching Workshop?
Executive Coaching is a "speed mentoring" opportunity for Federal employees to meet with a senior Federal manager to receive personalized career advice for 10-15 minute appointments during the week of the NLTP. Coaching offers direct, reciprocal interaction that workshops and plenary sessions may not provide. The format of the coaching session will be one on one or in small group. Questions must be limited to professional advice.
Q. How can I make hotel reservations?
Please reserve your hotel room here
Free internet is included with each room. Make your reservation by the deadline to obtain the government rate for federal attendees. Government per diem rate is available until April 27, 2018 or when the FAPAC room block is filled. Read the cancellation policy with the hotel reservation. If you have problems please contact conference@fapac.org.
