In 2017, the Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) established its Northern California Chapter (NORCAL) in the Greater Bay Area. FAPAC was founded in 1985 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization representing the civilian and military Asian Pacific American employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments.

The primary purpose of FAPAC is to serve as an interagency association within the Federal and District of Columbia Governments that provides a focus for over thirty ethnically distinct groups originating from Asian and Pacific regions as recognized by the United States Bureau of the Census. FAPAC promotes professional development opportunities for its members through leadership training, mentoring, and other career building initiatives. In addition, FAPAC NORCAL establishes partnerships with locally based Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) nonprofit organizations in order to support a wide array of community service initiatives within the area.

Government and military employees, including contractors, who are interested in learning more about FAPAC NORCAL are encouraged to visit FAPAC's website for additional information. Interested individuals may email fapacnorcal@gmail.com or contact a FAPAC NORCAL Executive Board Member to obtain a membership application. FAPAC NORCAL meetings are held on a monthly basis with various activities throughout the year. Please feel free to distribute this announcement to any employees who may be interested.

On behalf of FAPAC NORCAL’s Executive Board, we thank you for your support in promoting its mission within Northern California.
