CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Special Election for 2024 FAPAC Elected Positions of the Treasurer and Auditor

Since the installation of the newly elected FAPAC National Board of Directors and Auditor on October 17, 2022, the elected positions of the Treasurer and Auditor have become vacant on January 8, 2024.  In compliance to the FAPAC Constitution and Bylaws, a special election will be held within 30 days to fill the two vacant positionsAll FAPAC members eligible to vote can nominate for any of the two positions. Voting for this special election will be conducted via online only. These elected positions are for the current term to begin immediately after the swearing in and ending September 30, 2024.

Nominations and Elections Timeline

  • Nominations open: January 8-22, 2024
  • Voting begins: January 23, 2024
  • Voting ends: February 8, 2024
  • Voting Audit: February 9, 2024
  • Election results announcement: February 12, 2024


Elected positions to be nominated for the following:

  1. Treasurer
  2. Auditor


Eligibility of Candidates:

Eligible candidates for the vacant positions must be a FAPAC Regular Member in good standing for the last twelve (12) months, which means the FAPAC membership fee is paid up prior to or on February 1, 2024. All eligible members (except the members of the Nomination and Election Committee) can be nominated for the vacant positions. Eligible nominees who consent in writing shall be declared as qualified candidates.

Article VIII, Section 1 of the C&B excludes former NBOD officers who have served for two consecutive terms from running for the same vacant position.  

Eligibility of Voters:

Eligible voters must be in good standing as a FAPAC Regular/Associate or Annual/Lifetime Members for the last six (6) months prior to the election, which means the membership fee is paid up prior to or on February 1, 2024.

 Submitting a Nomination:

Members shall review the Eligible Voters and Eligible Candidates list.   If you have any concerns or questions, please contact the membership committee at membership@fapac.org.

You are encouraged to discuss with the potential candidates before you complete the online nomination form. Individual nominated for both positions shall accept only ONE position to run for. 

A written notice of special election, including the list of nominees, should be sent to all current members at least one week prior to the voting date.  Election shall be in accordance with Article V, Section 9 of the Constitution and Bylaws.
